  • Support Worker - Supported Living

    We are currently looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Workers to work in our Supported Housing settings in Pembrokeshire.  The role of Support Worker within Supported Living is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to see things from the point of vi ew of the people we support.  In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleepovers and waking nights.

    In addition to competitive rates of pay, we offer bespoke mandatory training including the full 12 week Induction Framework, PBM (Positive Behavioural Management) Training, Moving and Handling and anything else required to deliver a first class service.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay dependant on experience and passing the 6 month probationary period; 
    •  £22,840.00 - £23,367.00 pro rata (Example based on an average contract of 37.5 hours including 2 sleepovers per week);
    • An excellent training package - Diploma Level 2 & 3;
    • 28 days annual leave pro rata based on a full time contract;

  • Waking Nights Support Worker - Residential Care Home

    We are currently looking to recruit a Waking Night Support Worker to work in our Residential Care Home - 20 hours per week - 2 x 10 hr shifts - 10pm to 8am.

    Elliots Hill Residential Care Home is a 19 bed residential facility that provides care to adults with mental health and physical disabilities.

    In order to respond to our Customers support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the evenings, weekends and bank holidays. In addition to competitive rates of pay, we offer bespoke mandatory training including the full 12 week Induction Framework, PBM (Positive Behavioural Management) Training, Moving & Handling, and anything else required to deliver a first class service.

    Support Workers will be required to;

    • Take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents;
    • Promote their independence and maintain high levels of dignity and respect;
    • Assisting with Personal Care, including skin care, bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting (including management of bladder & bowels), dressing, hair care, stoma care.
    • Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group;
    • Maintain accurate records of all care provided.
    • Enabling mobility, including Moving & Handling transfers, pushing wheelchair, checking of specialist equipment e.g. wheelchair seat cushion, driving of clients vehicle, as directed.
    • Dietetics, including assistance with menu planning, preparing, serving and storing of foods.
    • Assist with medications as prescribed by medical practitioner.
    • Dealing with correspondence and financial matters as requested such as daily finance records.
    • Day to day household tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping.
    • Respect for client confidentiality and discretion at all times.
    • Reporting & Recording as per company procedures.
    • Commitment to fulfilling on going personal development by completing all mandatory in-house training and Diploma Level 2 in Adult Health & Social Care.
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times as per employee handbook.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to be committed and enthusiastic in delivering excellent support to individuals in a fast paced environment.

    We are currently looking to recruit a full time (37.5hrs) Senior Support Worker to work within our Residential Care Home.

    Elliots Hill Residential Care Home is a 19 bed residential facility that provides care to adults with mental health and physical disabilities.

    You will assist the Team Leader and Registered Manager to directly lead a team of Support Workers to help us meet the needs of the people we support, and encourage real involvement and influence in what we do. Reporting directly to the Team Leader and Registered Manager you will work closely with your support worker team, families of the people we support and professionals from multi-disciplinary teams. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for an experienced Support Worker that feel they are ready for their first step into management. You will be expected to use your initiative to the full.

    In order to respond to our Customers support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This position may include waking nights/sleepovers.
