    This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced cook who has a passion for cooking homely meals and enjoys working as part of a lively team.

    About the Role:

     An experienced cook is required to work 25 hours per week in our residential home preparing/ cooking meals and baking. The ideal candidate will be able to build and maintain good relationships with our staff and residents. Our residents are often involved in planning their own meals and enjoy being taught how to cook/bake.

    Duties

    • Managing a budget efficiently.
    • Planning a varied menu to meet the needs of all of our residents.
    • Maintaining hygiene standards.
    • Delegating some preparation tasks to support workers for the cooking of meals, and monitoring/ordering to ensure efficient operation.
    • Meeting with sales representatives in order to negotiate prices and order supplies
    • Checking quantities of received products.
    • Complying with all Health and Safety policies and procedures.
    • Being able to support staff in the care home in the achievement of the highest possible standards, the minimisation of waste and the promotion of economic and cost effective budgeting.
    • Assisting residents to prepare food.

  • Area Manager

    The role

    We are looking to recruit a full time (40hrs per week) Area Manager to work in various locations throughout Pembrokeshire, based in Haverfordwest.

    The primary purpose of an Area Manager is to take responsibility for the day to day management of service delivery across a number of Supported living environments ensuring a high quality service is delivered in accordance with the internal and CSSIW objectives, policies and procedures.

    In conjunction with the Registered Manager, the Area Managers are required to take a pro-active approach to quality service delivery, to make balanced and timely decisions based on available information and evidence and to provide timely and accurate reports on all areas of accountability.

    Working hours will generally be between 9-5 spreading through Monday-Sunday. However, a flexible approach to the role is required which will include the requirement to work an element of hands-on as necessary over all shift patterns, including evenings and weekends, ensuring that adequate cover is provided at all times. The Area Manager has a responsibility to ensure their staff are managed effectively and are supported in their job role and specification.

     About you

    Candidates must have:

    • Excellent communication skills;
    • The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff and professionals at all levels; 
    • The ability to provide excellent standards of care whilst responding to challenging situations in a fast moving environment; 
    • The ability to take responsibility for decision making without excessive direction;
    • An interest in the social care sector, with previous experience of working in a similar environment;
    •  The ability to effectively manage teams;
    • The ability to ensure delivery of high quality care whilst complying with all relevant regulatory quality standards;
    • Experience in management is desirable and care experience is essential.
    • Full driving licence.

     You must be 18 years old or over.

     You will ideally hold or be working towards completion of Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care Services (Adults’ Management).

     What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £22,000 – £25,000. This is subject to passing the 6 month probationary period and holding the relevant qualification;

    We are looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) and part time Support Workers to work in our supported housing settings. The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

     Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to see things from the point of view of the people we support. In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Some positions include sleepovers and waking nights.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £22,440.00 - £22,980.00 pro rata based on a 37.5 hour contract including 2 sleep overs per week;

    Support Worker – Residential Care Home

    We are looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) and part time Support Workers to work in our Residential Care Home setting. The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Support Workers will be required to;

    • Take responsibility for the physical and emotional wellbeing and social needs of our residents;
    •  Promote their independence and maintain high levels of dignity and respect;
    • Assist residents with personal care such as washing, personal hygiene, dressing and assisting with meals;
    • Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group;
    • Maintain accurate records of all care provided.

    Domicillary Home Care Support Worker

    We are currently recruiting full time (37.5 hour) and part time Domiciliary Home Care Support Workers for our exciting new venture, as we create a new Home Care team. We are ideally looking for individuals with experience in domiciliary care, although we provide full training and mentoring so this is not essential.

    The ideal candidate will be caring and be able to work on their own initiative, have a person centred approach, confident to loan work in the community and take pride in providing the highest quality of care.

    The role requires completing daily paperwork, regularly reporting to the Team Leader and a flexible approach to work.

    Shifts will include mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends worked on a rota basis. Weekend only work available.
