    Support Worker – Waking Nights - Residential Care Home

    We are looking to recruit a flexible and motivated part time Support Worker to work in our Residential Care Home setting on waking night shifts for 30 hours per week ( 3 x 10 hr shifts).  The role of Waking Night Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care.

    Support Workers will be required to;

    • Take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents;
    • Promote their independence and maintain high levels of dignity and respect;
    • Assisting with Personal Care, including skin care, bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting (including management of bladder & bowels), dressing, hair care, stoma care.
    • Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group;
    • Maintain accurate records of all care provided.
    • Enabling mobility, including Moving & Handling transfers, pushing wheelchair, checking of specialist equipment e.g. wheelchair seat cushion, driving of clients vehicle, as directed.
    • Dietetics, including assistance with menu planning, preparing, serving and storing of foods.
    • Assist with medications as prescribed by medical practitioner.
    • Dealing with correspondence and financial matters as requested such as daily finance records.
    • Day to day household tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping.
    • Respect for client confidentiality and discretion at all times.
    • Reporting & Recording as per company procedure.
    • Commitment to fulfilling on going personal development by completing all mandatory in-house training and Diploma Level 2 in Adult Health & Social Care.
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times as per employee handbook.

     Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to see things from the point of view of the people we support. In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the evenings, weekends and bank holidays. 

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £16,200.00 - £16,740.00 pro rata based on a 37.5 hour contract dependant on experience and passing the 6 month probationary period;

    • 28 days annual leave pro rata per year based on a full time contract;

    We are looking to recruit flexible and motivated full time (37.5 hours per week) Support Workers to work in our supported housing settings in Pembrokeshire. The role of Support Worker is varied and includes support with life skills such as cooking, cleaning and personal care and also social trips and leisure activities.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to see things from the point of view of the people we support. In order to respond to their preferences and support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleepovers and waking nights.

    What we offer

    • Competitive rates of pay: £22,440.00 - £22,980.00 pro rata (Example based on an average contract of 37.5 hours including 2 sleep overs per week);

    We are currently looking to recruit a full time (37.5hrs) Team Leader to work within a Support House in the Haverfordwest Area.

    You will be directly leading a team of Support Workers to help us to meet the needs of the people we support and encourage real involvement and influence in what we do. Reporting directly to the Registered Manager/Area Manager you'll work closely with your support worker team, families of the people we support and professionals and you will be expected to use your initiative to the full. This is an exciting opportunity for either an experienced Manager or an experienced Support Worker that feels they are ready for their first step into management.

    In order to respond to our Customers support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. Some positions include sleepovers and waking nights.
