  • Team Leader - Supported Living

    We are currently looking to recruit a full time (37.5hrs) Team Leader to work within a supported house based around the Haverfordwest area.

    You will be directly leading a team of Support Workers to help us to meet the needs of the people we support and encourage real involvement and influence in what we do. Reporting directly to the Registered Manager and Area Manager you'll work closely with your support worker team, families of the people we support and professionals from multi-disciplinary teams. This is an exciting and rewarding opportunity for either an experienced Manager or an experienced Support Worker that feels they are ready for their first step into management and you will be expected to use your initiative to the full.

    In order to respond to our Customers support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends and bank holidays. This position will include waking nights.

  • Part Time Support Worker - Waking Nights

    Job Description

    We are currently looking to recruit a night time Support Worker to work within our Residential Care Home. The post is for 20 hours (2 x 10 hour waking night shifts) per week.

    Elliots Hill Residential Home is a 19 bed residential facility that provides care to adults with mental health and physical disabilities.

    In order to respond to our Customers support needs, you will work on a rota basis which will include shifts in the evenings, weekends and bank holidays. In addition to competitive rates of pay, we offer bespoke mandatory training including the full 12 week Induction Framework, PBM (Positive Behavioural Management) Training, Moving&Handling, and anything else required to deliver a first class service.

    Support Workers will be required to;

    • Take responsibility for the physical and emotional well being and social needs of our residents;
    • Promote their independence and maintain high levels of dignity and respect;
    • Assisting with Personal Care, including skin care, bathing, shaving, oral care, toileting (including management of bladder & bowels), dressing, hair care, stoma care.
    • Providing physical and mental stimulation by taking part in recreational and social activities with residents, both individually and as a group;
    • Maintain accurate records of all care provided.
    • Enabling mobility, including Moving & Handling transfers, pushing wheelchair, checking of specialist equipment e.g. wheelchair seat cushion, driving of clients vehicle, as directed.
    • Dietetics, including assistance with menu planning, preparing, serving and storing of foods.
    • Assist with medications as prescribed by medical practitioner.
    • Dealing with correspondence and financial matters as requested such as daily finance records.
    • Day to day household tasks e.g. changing beds, laundry, ironing, shopping.
    • Respect for client confidentiality and discretion at all times.
    • Reporting & Recording as per company procedure.
    • Commitment to fulfilling on going personal development by completing all mandatory in-house training and Diploma Level 2 in Adult Health & Social Care.
    • Adhering to company policies and procedures at all times as per employee handbook.

    Experience is not as important as a willingness to learn and to be committed and enthusiastic in delivering excellent support to individuals in a fast paced environment.

    • Competitive rates of pay: £22,840.00 - £23,367.00 pro rata (Example based on an average contract of 37.5 hours including 2 sleep overs per week);
